I’m the first to admit that I’ve got a bit of an obsessive personality. So, if I read a book, and I like said book, then I’m going to track down that author’s website and I’m going to haunt it until I’ve clicked on every available link. Over the past year, I’ve tried to read as much young adult literature as possible. I think it helps my writing tremendously, and it gives me a feel for the current market.
So, who is the latest victim of my authorial obsession?
I was introduced to Brandon Mull by my youngest brother. For a boy whose first love is electronics, he has remarkably good taste in books. Fablehaven was his recommendation to me, and I have since read the first four books in that series, as well as The Candy Shop War. Recently, I have been lurking about Brandon Mull’s website, and I have found several short video interviews where Mr. Mull discusses his writing processes. I enjoy hearing how other authors get and manage their ideas.
If you’re interested, the short videos can be found here. Or, I have also unearthed a couple of lengthier videos that I’ll post below. Enjoy!
