When I was on the treadmill this morning, I was really regretting all of the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, derby pie, butternut squash soufflé, fruit salad, pretzel jell-o salad, olives, pickles, cheese-stuffed celery, eggnog, and homemade dinner rolls I inhaled over the last few days. After I got off the treadmill, I really just wanted a bit more of all of those things.
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Not only did I have a Thanksgiving smorgasbord to consume, but we also had a wedding in the family, which meant even more food. Rather than a formal dinner, we were treated to an extravagant waffle and hot cocoa bar with all the fixings you can possibly imagine. Couple that with some intense Black Friday shopping, and maybe that will explain why I’ve been neglectful of my blog this week. But I’m back to remind it that I still love it.
Also, I need to post the latest antics of the ballooning gang. Somewhat inspired by my own decidedly less epic fishing story, I think it’s safe to say that Chester and Peter are much more competent fishermen than me.
